At first glance, the two pieces have simple angles cut into their flat surfaces, like the edge of a key. However, when the two pieces intertwine, they look more like a 3D maze. The theme is "groove".

I gave this as a gift to my son-in-law. Last time we were talking about Hanayama puzzles, he said that this is his favorite, because even though you know how it works, it still takes some really concentration to get the pieces apart, and then back together. Took longer than expected to take this apart, and even longer to put back! Difficultly rating is appropriate, don’t be mislead by its appearance as a simple puzzle - it’s trickier than you think but lots of fun! Great quality as usual as a Hanayama puzzle. This is a great little puzzle. Very sturdy and a good weight. The "maze" is much longer than it first appears and takes an open mind to solve it.
