Product Info

A beautifully made puzzle from anodized golden aluminum. The ISO Crate consists of eight identical L-shaped pieces and it would be very easy to assemble if not for the magnets inside each of them. You need to find the correct way to match the polarities in all of the pieces to form a cubic shape. Easy to take apart, a nightmare to put together. Designed by the late Robert Rose, who made many other fascinating anodized aluminum puzzles. From our impressive selection of PuzzleMaster Metal Puzzles.

As a puzzle it is great. It is fun to try to rebuild it over and over again and my students love trying to figure it out. The reason for the low rating though is due to the quality of the product. At least mine arrived looking scuffed up (not polished like in the pictures) and also had glue all over it from where the magnets are embedded. Really not happy with the quality of it.

This puzzle is exactly as described. It's small, light, but built well. The pieces are a nice shiny gold, but quite scuffed and pitted. It should keep you puzzling for a while. Most of the pieces will fit together getting you close to the solution, but one or two will be repelled, forcing you to start over and find another solution. Good fun.
