Note: Our level rating system is different than Hanayama's. Hanayama's level 1 is equivalent to our level 5.... level 6 is equivalent to our level 10.
The two entangled pieces are exactly the same in shape and very simple. They look like hooks used to hang things. The pieces can be separated and connected, in a fascinating and magical series of movements. This cast puzzle is simple yet mysterious and just like a disentanglement puzzle. It was created by Finland's Vesa Timonen.
The theme of this puzzle is "Hook".

This is on the easier side, and satisfying to solve without the use of force. For those new to Hanayama, take the time to study how this puzzle was constructed as the fundamental ideas will serve you well on a couple of harder-difficulty Hanayama puzzles.
This puzzle is tad HARDER than it's "1" rating. Three at least. To Shannon, the first reviewer, I thought the exact same thing! I was quite wrong!
I can solve this just by looking at the picture.. :
Perhaps I am dense but I thought this one was amazingly tough, especially for a one star Hanayama. If you give someone the two pieces unconnected it is particularly tricky to get together if you have never seen the disassembly. Excellent puzzle!
